Solar & Wind Energy

EcoloEnergy™ for a Sustainable Solution

Almost all biological and meteorological phenomena and systems on earth are powered by the energy from the sun.  The sun’s energy is abundant, almost universally available (depending on the seasons and cloud cover) and its production and collection generate little to no environmental impact. Moreover, harnessing the power of the sun can be considered a sustainable and renewable resource as there is plenty of it and, unlike hydrocarbons, it should be around for another 4.57 billion years.

While the western world is busy searching for ways to reduce our dependence on oil- looking for new and innovative ways to meet our ever growing energy needs.  Some lesser developed nations are struggling for access to any reliable form of energy and do not have the luxury to be as choosy as the West.  Not only do lesser developed countries suffer from power grid outages and an inadequate infrastructure, these same nations happen to contain many of the 2.6 billion people on earth that do not have access to clean drinking water. EcoloBlue is working to do something about this. Our vision is to be at the forefront of using alternative and sustainable energy to bring clean potable water to billions of people worldwide.

EcoloBlue, Energy and Life is accomplishing this vision by employing a systems approach to water generation. At the core of the system is our EcoloBlue Atmospheric Water Generation Technology. This is where and how the water is made. Our EcoloEnergy division then assess the energy, geographical, cultural, environmental and financial needs of our clients and suggests appropriate technologies (solar, wind, geo-thermal or even conventional power grid) to power our AWGs.

Solar Technology

Anyone who has used a modern mathematical calculator can grasp the concept of photovoltaic (PV). It is simply the process of converting energy from the sun into electricity that can power everything from household appliances, lights, sprinkler systems and water pumps to large-scale communications, industrial and military equipment.ppIn precisely the same way as the small solar cells on hand-held calculators eliminate the need for batteries, PV can provide the world with a clean, reliable source of electricity and reduce our reliance on ever-depleting fossil fuels.

The PV technology of the 21st Century makes it possible. It employs layers of micro-fine crystalline silicon to convert ordinary sunlight into small electrical charges. This process is then multiplied thousands of times over to create modules and systems that can generate enough electricity to power large generators.

In order to maximize energy collection and conversion, single cells are connected together and housed in a module. These modules are the building blocks of PV systems and are, in turn, connected together to generate usable volumes of electricity. In some instances, an inverter is also used to convert low voltage DC into higher voltage AC power.

“I love my EcoloBlue28! I've stopped buying bottled water so there's less plastic to throw away. I also know exactly what I am drinking as the water's generated in my house.”
